Child protection

Where concern has been expressed about the safety of a child, social workers must look into what is happening. It is rare for Social Services to have to consider removing a child from their family home, but if the child is in danger, Social Services may apply for an emergency protection order.

Where appropriate, our family lawyers will work in partnership with parents and carers and keep them involved in what is happening. In most situations help and advice can be sufficient to sort out the problems.

If you suspect a child is being ill treated, or if you are being hurt or abused, you can speak to one of our family solicitors in confidence on 01223 358275 or email us as family@ginnandco.co.uk

You can also contact Social Services on 01223 507177.
