Lasting Powers of Attorney
Making a Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to decide who looks after your affairs, and how your property and care would be managed, if you were to have an accident that left you unable to make decisions for yourself.
We can help you through the whole process, preparing the legal documents and then registering them with the Office of the Public Guardian.
When you make a Lasting Power of Attorney, you need to have a Certificate of Capacity to confirm that you have the mental capacity to understand its effects. We can act as certificate providers in most cases (although if there may be issues over capacity, we recommend that you also consult a doctor or health professional).
If you alredy have an Enduring Power of Attorney, you cannot make changes to it. However, we can assist you in registering it with the Office of the Public Guardian when you begin to lose capacity or would like your attorney to help you with your affairs.
