Wills
It’s vital that your will is valid, clear and unambiguous to make sure your estate is distributed exactly the way you wish. Many long-running court cases have centered on the interpretation of words and phrases used in wills. Invalid or home-made wills often mean estates are declared ‘intestate’ – this is when a court decides how your finances and assets will be broken up.
For your peace of mind, our will-making service will take you step by step through the whole process, making it as simple and comfortable as possible.
Our service includes advice on tax planning to minimise your liability to Inheritance Tax, provision for second families and cohabitees, and how to protect your family home where care home fees could be an issue.
Once you’ve made your will with us, we can also store it free of charge in our strongroom to keep it safe, if you wish. We will then write to you every five years to offer a free review of your will so you can update it if your circumstances change – a new grandchild, for example.
